| At S.G. Holding & Partners our process is designed to guide you sensitively through the issues of old-age care cover, what you should consider and the options available to provide financially for yourself, your partner or a relative in later life. At S.G. Holding & Partners, we understand that old-age care can be a delicate matter but it is an issue that should not be ignored. Barely a day goes by without there being a mention in the news of our ageing population. A paper published by the Centre for Policy on Ageing in 2005 reports, “From 2004-2011, the number of older people is expected to rise by 13%. The Local Government Association has estimated that between 2002-3 and 2005-6 demographic changes alone will result in an increase of £146 million in the cost of providing services for what they term ‘adults and the elderly.’”1 Additionally, “A recent survey of 942 adults for the charity Help the Aged showed 62% of 45-65 year olds had made no provision for care. Market analysts Laing & Buisson predicts demand for places in residential settings for elderly [...] people will increase by nearly 6% by 2016.”2 1 Source: Centre for Policy on Ageing, their paper, What Price Care in Old Age? - August 2008 2 Source: www.bbc.co.uk - August 2008 Contact us to find out more >> |
